Our Story | Savannah & Sean

Sean and Savannah first met at the Texas Ski Ranch in August of 2022 — a local wakeboard park where Savannah worked. Sean was intrigued with the establishment since he grew up wakeboarding on Lake Orion. With their shared love for wakeboarding, they hit it off right away.

After a few more casual dates, Sean mentioned that his cousin Heather and childhood best friend Justin were coming to visit from Michigan. If you know them, you can imagine the instant chaos and fun that followed.

That holiday season, Sean went home to Michigan to visit family and friends. After a few days away, he started to miss Savannah (though he’d never admit it) and ended up flying her to join him “Up North” at Heather’s family cabin for New Year’s. There, she met the Lake Orion crew and somehow survived the Michigan cold.

When they returned to Texas, weeks turned into months filled with more dates, laughter, and memories — until Sean was offered a promotion that meant moving away in August 2023.

Even with the distance, they couldn’t help but stay in touch. They went back and forth between Texas and Michigan, visiting each other as often as possible. But a little over a year after Sean moved, they realized that life without each other wasn’t making sense. So Savannah moved to Michigan in November 2024.

The winter didn’t scare her off, and they spent the next year in Michigan together creating memories and growing closer together.

When Sav's Dad and Sister came to visit in December 2025 for the Cowboys vs. Lions game, Sean surprised Savannah with a proposal. He proposed in the backyard and surprised her with a tailgate in Detroit with all of their closest friends and family.

Savannah said yes, and they are now having a blast planning their wedding for September 5, 2026.
