Our Wedding Party

The amazing people standing by our side

Bridesmaids

Maid of Honor

Soleil Smith

Maid of Honor

I've known Soleil since her big debut in 2000. She was instantly my best friend because, well, she had to be, and my parents reminded me that every day. Our relationship was pretty great for the first several years. We loved to play dress-up in our mom's "sleep wear" drawer, put Dawn dish soap and connected a sprinkler to our trampoline, and put all the house's pillows at the end of the hallway as our crash pad for our various activities. Things got a little rocky when she could wear my Abercrombie jeans too and steal the rest of my closet. As most sisters do, we made it through all the rough patches. After learning to miss each other when I went to college, we truly became the best of friends. Since then, she has been my biggest support, my voice of reason, and inspiration for most things.

Bridesmaid

Lydia Arnaud

Bridesmaid

Lydia and I are not literal cellmates, but our relationship is that deep. I spent the most days with her in the last 10 years of my life, and I am thankful for that. From friends of friends to best friends almost immediately. Lydia and I went to football games, frat parties, house parties, the library, our place of work, and home on a daily basis for 6 years straight. In that time together, we learned how to care about people, how to get hurt by people, and the best way to take care of oneself through it all. I wouldn't be the person I am today without a friend like Lydia.

Bridesmaid

Anyssa Padilla

Bridesmaid

I met Anyssa freshman year of high school. Those who know her know that she is poised, strong, and usually the smartest in the room. We became friends when we played together on our freshman basketball team, and since then we've continued through life like family. While Anyssa was studying at the University of Texas to have Dr. in front of her name, I was floating the river at Texas State University. Even though our college experience was slightly different, every holiday, every chance we could go back home, it was already assumed we would hang out. Sometime after college, I slowly made my way to Austin, where our weekends started to feel like high school once again. The hardest part about moving to Michigan is that I can no longer go to her apartment unannounced, get cooked the best tacos I've ever had, and sleep over an average of 3 days a week.

Bridesmaid

Daisy Grey

Bridesmaid

There was only one time anyone has ever felt the confidence to ask me for the answers to a math test, and that's because Daisy didn't know me. We met freshman summer of college in remedial math. We've been the best of friends ever since. Our days were filled with sunshine, kayaks, and gas station wine. Really anything except our homework, which also says nothing about Daisy's wine knowledge as someone who started running a family-owned vineyard shortly thereafter. Her ability to have fun is a direct result of how hard a worker she actually is. If she wasn't in my wedding, she would have been my event planner.

Bridesmaid

Nicolette Schmitz

Bridesmaid

Meeting Nicolette for the first time was like meeting a celebrity. You're super nervous but so happy to meet them. Sean wouldn't be who he is without his sister, and thank God! Their relationship has shaped Sean's ability to empathize, be patient, and consistently strengthen his will to achieve. Some of my favorite days are when we are all drinking fresh margaritas in her yard. After always seeing pictures of them, I finally got to meet toddler Emma and new baby Lucy too. Watching them become smarter each day while their personalities slowly take shape is one of our life's greatest joys.

Bridesmaid

Heather Williams

Bridesmaid

When I first met Heather, it felt like I had met a long-lost relative. It was fun and confusing. I quickly realized that Heather was a major person in Sean's life, and I had no idea what that truly meant at first. We got along great, too great for our own good. I finally concluded that because of her, Sean was perfectly conditioned to someone with high energy, great ideas, and a whole lot of fun facts. He and I would be just fine. Heather has a way of making everyone around her feel like they are having the time of their life. And for that I am grateful to have her in my life forever too.
